like when you had someone die, and all the sadness that it brings.

That it helps to talk to someone when you're feeling sad.

It is hard when someone you love has died.  One thing I found helpful is to buy balloons, write a message on them with a marker, then on a special day like their Birthday or a Holiday go outside and release  them up into the sky.    Thinking of them and doing something helps.
